Moving to a new city is fraught with enough problems, without adding the daunting task of finding a place to live plus finding a Realtor you can trust. When relocating, you probably won't have the luxury of looking at every house for sale. At best, you might be able to be shown 20 to 25, so pare down the list first thing with these tips:

Before coming into town, arrange your needs into one list. Then put your wants in another. If a property comes up short on your must-haves, it's one less house to look at.
Know your budget. If you are going to get a home loan, secure your pre-approved amount beforehand so we can eliminate homes beyond your price range.
What length of a commute are you willing to make each day to your job and other activities? Traffic in the Oklahoma City area could be different than what you're currently experiencing, so tell me your desired drive-time, and I'll find homes accordingly.

Before we meet in person, I could send you recommendations for properties we should see first. Or if you've done your own research already, let me know what you've found. While seeing listing photos on the web is helpful, there's nothing like touring homes in person. Let me set up any necessary appointments with other Realtors or homeowners and map a route. By planning ahead, we could see 8 or 10 homes in a single day.
